New Scorpions coach to play wide ranging role

New Jamaica Scorpions head coach Andre Coley says his role will not be limited to the senior men's franchise team.
Coley who took over as head coach one week ago, says he will be working with both the junior and women's programmes

“Part of my responsibility will lend itself to that. Once I have time, I’m gonna find myself working with all the junior coaches just in terms of having some involvement with all the programmes. My intention is also to have discussions with the junior national coaches including the female coaches,” noted Coley.

Meanwhile, Coley says he is well aware of Jamaica's recent lack of regional trophies at the senior, junior and women's competitions.

But he says the teams are being affected by similar technical deficiencies.
“I think the time has gone now to say we have deficiencies. We need to come up with strategies and we need to identify little things we need to do over a period of time,” said Coley.
