New Zealand set to win three-match test series

New Zealand are on course to claim the three match series against England after the visitors limped to 90 for 4 in their second innings at stumps on day four.

Alistair Cook, 43 and Jonathon Triott , 37 have top scored so far against Kane Williamson 2 for 5. Earlier Peter Fulton, 110 and Brendan McCullum, 67 not out saw New Zealand declaring their second innings on 241 for 6 to set the Englishmen 481 to win.

Monty Panesar had 2 for 53 and Stuart Broad 2 for 54.  England are trailing by 390 runs heading into the final day and are facing their first series defeat in New Zealand since 1984.

Fulton says his two centuries in the series would be of no importance if they fail to win the game which would hand them the series.

England’s coach, Graham Gouch believes his players have been second best throughout the series.

The two previous games ended in draws.
