North Street rivals ready for historic Manning Cup finale

As Kingston College take aim at ending their 31 year drought without winning the coveted ISSA Digicel Manning Cup title, their head coach Ludlow Bernard is banking on the massive support of their spectators when they take on fierce North Street rivals St George’s College in Friday’s final at the National Stadium starting at 6:00. KC won the last of their 14 Manning titles way back in 1986.

Conversely, St George's College have won the Manning Cup on 22 occasions, including five times since KC last secured the corporate area trophy. Coach Neville "Bertis" Bell, who has guided the Light Blues to five Manning Cup crowns since 1992, remains hungry for another hold as they try to end the Manning Cup season unbeaten. Friday's contest is the first Manning Cup final between the two teams in the 109 year history of the competition.
