O'Dayne Richards wins shot put bronze medal at World Championships

Jamaica's O'Dayne Richards, the Commonwealth and Pan American Games gold medallist, captured the bronze medal on Sunday at the 15th IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China.

Richards equalled his personal best and national record of 21.69 metres to secure the bronze, after leading for two rounds.

American Joe Kovacs took over the lead with the gold medal throw in the 5th round with 21.93 metres, while unseated champion David Storl of Germany was second with a toss of 21.74 metres.
