Olivier Shield battle closes 2019 SBF season

The symbol of all-island schoolboy football supremacy will be on the line as the 2019 season concludes at the National Stadium with Manning Cup champions Jamaica College battling DaCosta Cup winners Clarendon for the Olivier Shield on Saturday.

Despite only scoring two goals in their previous four games, JC got over the line against St Andrew Technical in the Manning Cup decider to secure their sixth title in the last seven years. Clarendon College have been successful in one of two finals so far this season.

JC has won the Olivier Shield on 22 occasions while clarendon college have secured the trophy four times.

Clarendon College defeated Kingston College 1-0 in the Olivier Shield final last year while JC last won it in 2017 with a 3-2 win over Rusea’s. Kickoff is at 5:00 pm with live coverage on TVJ and Hitz 92 FM.
