Omar Edwards resigns as coach of Tivoli Gardens FC

Former five time Premier League champions Tivoli Gardens is on the hunt for a new coach. According to RJR Sports sources head coach of the West Kingston-based club Omar Edwards has tendered his resignation to take up a coaching stint aboard in the coming weeks.

When contacted via telephone on Tuesday, Edwards would neither confirm nor deny the reports, but said he has not been fired. RJR Sports visited the Edwards Seaga Sports Complex where the team conducted a training session on Tuesday afternoon, but after spending an hour only the players and assistant coach Kevon Wisdom turned up.

Efforts to reach chairman of the Tivoli Gardens Football Club Edward Seaga were unsuccessful. Our sports team was told to call back within the hour but, up until sports time there has been no response. Tivoli Gardens will host Humble Lion at 7:00 pm as the next set of games get underway on Wednesday.
