Paul Francis takes over head coaching duties at MVP

Paul Francis has been appointed the head coach of the MVP Track Club, taking over from his brother Stephen.

Stephen Francis will no longer have head-coaching duties at the club and will instead provide private coaching services to select individual athletes including Olympic champions Elaine Thompson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and World Championships bronze medallist Stephenie-Ann McPherson among others.

Hurdlers such as Melaine Walker will be coached by 2009 sprint hurdles world champion Brigitte Foster-Hylton. Both Francis brothers will continue to coach the UTech track team.

Paul, has been a coach at the club since co-founding it in 1999 and has a Level 4 coaching certificate in sprints and hurdles.
