Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz clobbered Grenada 5-1 in their friendly international at the Kirani James athletics stadium in St George’s on Friday night. Daniel Green who made his senior international his debut, opened the scoring for the Jamaicans in the 12th minute. Peter-Lee Vassell had a double strike in the 20th and 48th minutes, while Chevon Marsh added extra cushion in the 71st minute after the Grenadians had scored an own-goal on 59 minutes.
Humble Lion's Kevaughn Isaacs and Harbour View's Ajeanie Talbott also made their debut for Jamaica. The last time Jamaica played Grenada was in the 2011 edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup where Jamaica won 4-0. The Boyz will next be in action on Monday against Barbados before facing Ecuador on September 7.
The Boyz are using the matches as practice ahead of the inaugural CONCACAF Nations League competition which gets underway on September 9.
