Platini's FIFA election status still unclear

It's still unclear whether UEFA President Michel Platini will get to take part in the elections for a new FIFA leader.

He has filed an urgent appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against his 90 day suspension by FIFA's Ethics Committee.

Platini is asking for the temporary suspension to be lifted, pending FIFA's final decision which is expected in the next few weeks.

CAS will decide next week on what steps it will take.
