Portmore United extend lead in RSPL

Reigning champions Portmore United clipped Cavalier 1-0 on Sunday at the Prison Oval to go five points clear atop the Red Stripe Premier League table. Evan Taylor and Daniel Green put Mount Pleasant 2-0 ahead inside the first 16 minutes. Norado Brown then pulled one back for Dunbeholden in the 22nd but Mount Pleasant held on for the win and are now 4th on 41 points while Dunbeholden remains 10th on 24 points.

FC Reno failed to take advantage of Dunbeholden's defeat after they were held to a 2-2 draw by UWI at the Mona Bowl. Reno remains 11th in the relegation zone on 23 points while UWI stays 6th on 38 points. Montego Bay United came from two goals down to earn a 3-3 draw with Harbour View at Wespow Park. The western club remains at the foot of the table but jumped to the 20 point mark while Harbour View is 9th on 26 points.
