Portmore United missed out on a place in the final of the CFU Club Championships as late goals from Jermy Lynch and captain Ewan Grandison could only gain them a 2-2 draw with Trinidad and Tobago's San Juan Jabloteh at the Hasley Crawford Stadium in Trinidad on Thursday evening.
The Trinidadian club took the early ascendency going up by two goals but Lynch and Grandison pulled Portmore level in the last 10 minutes of the contest. Portmore could have gotten all three points but saw their last attack of the game hitting the crossbar.
The result sees San Juan Jabloteh topping the group with a superior goal difference as both teams ended on four points.
San Juan Jabloteh are now through to the final of the competition and gained an automatic spot to the 2018 CONCACAF Champions League.
Portmore in the meantime could still reach the Champions League but would need to top the inaugural CONCACAF League in August.
