Portmore United return to winning ways in RSPL

Defending champions Portmore United returned to winning ways, beating Montego Bay United 1-0 in the Red Stripe Premier League on Wednesday at the Prison Oval. The all-important goal came in minute 4 through Cleon Pryce.

With the win, Portmore United pulled further away on the table on 42 points while Mo Bay United remain at the foot of the table on 19. Elsewhere, on the day Dunbeholden were beaten 2-0 by Mount Pleasant Academy at the Royal Lakes Complex. Shaquille Notice opened the scoring in the 35th minute before Kemar Beckford added another in minute 80.

In the day's late encounter Cavalier blanked Harbour View 2-0 at the Compound courtesy of goals from Alex Marshall and Nicholas Hamilton. Action continues on Thursday to complete the midweek fixture, where Humble Lion will welcome Waterhouse at the Effortville Community Centre starting at 3:00 pm, while Tivoli Gardens host Arnett Gardens at the Edward Seaga Complex at 7:00 pm.
