Powell and Fraser-Pryce to represent Jamaica at Penn Relays

Former world record holder Asafa Powell is among a 32-member Jamaica team will travel to Pennsylvania for the Penn Relays which runs until April 27. Powell is part of a 15-member men's team which also includes World Championships bronze medallist Nesta Carter and national 400 metre record holder Rusheen McDonald.

Demish Gaye, Julian Forte, Jevaughn Minzie, Nigel Ellis, Kenroy Anderson, Oshane Bailey, Anthony Caprenter, Fitzroy Dunkley, Daniel Glave, Chadic Hinds and Chad Walker are the other male team members. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Elaine Thompson will also travel to Philadelphia, and are joined by fellow World Championships medalists Shericka Jackson, Stephanie McPherson, Natasha Morrison and Sherone Simpson.

Janieve Russell, Rhonda Whyte, Anatasia Leroy, Jura Levy, Roneisha McGreggor, Shashalee Forbes, Gayon Evans, Christine Day, Verone Chambers and Schillonie Calvert-Powell are the other mebers of the team. Garth Gayle will be the team manager, while JAAA president Dr Warren Blake will travel as team doctor with Maurice Wilson and Donald Quarrie as the coaches.
