Powell and Thompson-Herah headline Jamaica's World Relays team

Former world record holder Asafa Powell and double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah head the list of Jamaicans that have been selected for the World Relays next month in Poland.

Powell will join the likes of Oshane Bailey, Nesta Carter, Julian Forte, Nigel Ellis, Romario Williams and Kadrian Goldson in the 4x100m relay.

In the women's equivalent, Thompson-Herah joins Natalliah Whyte, Natasha Morrison, Shashalee Forbes, Kasheika Cameron and Remona Burchell.

Jamaica will also be competing in the 4x200m, the 4x400m and the shuttle hurdles relay at the championship.

Since the inception of the World Relays in 2014, Jamaica has copped five gold, eight silver and six bronze medals at the event.

The 2021 World Relays is set to run from May 1-2.
