A century from Man-of-the-Match Rovman Powell helped the West Indies to a 52 run win over Ireland to advance to the Super Sixes of the ICC Cricket World Cup qualifying tournament in Zimbabwe. Batting first, the Windies posted 257-8, thanks to 101 from Powell, his maiden ODI century with captain Jason Holder being the next best scorer with 54.
Seamer Tim Murtagh was the pick of the Irish bowlers taking 4-41 while Andy McBrine took 2-45. Pacer Kemar Roach with 4-27 and Kesrick Williams 4-43, were the pick of the Windies bowlers with captain Holder grabbing the next two wickets for 49 runs. It was the third win from as many matches for the Windies, who will face the Netherlands in their final group match on Monday.
