Following his call in November of 2015 for the restructuring of the West Indies Cricket Board, Professor Hilary Beckles reiterated this plea on Saturday evening at the Melbourne Cricket Club annual awards dinner. Professor Beckles believes there is a fundamental problem in the operations of regional the cricket.
“I supported Mr (PJ) Patterson’s recommendation that the West Indies Cricket Board, the president and his board should annually report to a body that is made up of the stakeholders of West Indies cricket. It would make for a better president and a better board. The entire culture of (West Indies) cricket needs to be rehabilitated,” noted Professor Beckles.
