The Jamaica Scorpions could only add 33 runs to their overnight score of 77-0 before rain again on Friday’s second day brought a halt to their second round Professional Cricket League encounter against the Barbados Pride at Sabina Park. The Scorpions lost two wickets with openers John Campbell and Garth Garvey the wickets to fall.
Campbell could only add two to his overnight 42 while Garvey added eight to his overnight 31. When rain stopped play after 32.3 overs, Assad Fudadin 15 and Brandon king 6 were the batsmen at the crease.
Meanwhile in the other regional 4-day matches, champions Guyana Jaguars were struggling at 53-6 in their first innings reply at stumps against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes at stumps. The Leeward Islands earlier posted 412-9 decalred in their first innings after they had resumed 181-1.
Meanwhile, the Windward Islands Volcanoes who have been made to follow on, reached 3-0 in their 2nd innings at stumps against the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at Queen’s Park Oval. They had earlier been dismissed for 166 in their first innings reply to the Red Force’s 402.
