Rain forces abandonment of Arnett/Humble Lion second leg RSPL semi

Arnett Gardens and Humble Lion will have to wait a while longer to clinch a spot in the final of the Red Stripe Premier League.

Persistent rain and a waterlogged field forced the abandonment of the second leg semi-final at Effortville after 10 minutes on Sunday. Arnett lead the tie following their 2-1 win in the first leg at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.

Meanwhile, the return leg of the second semi-final between UWI FC and Portmore United will be contested on May 28.

That game was postponed as Portmore United travelled to Trinidad on Sunday for the semi- final round of the Caribbean Football Union's Club Championship. UWI FC lead the tie after winning the first leg 2-1 at the Wembley Centre of Excellence last Sunday.
