Rain forces no-result in Windies/India first ODI

The first One Day International between the West Indies and India at the Providence Stadium in Guyana was abandoned as a no-result as persistent rain resulted in play being called off on Thursday. Batting first, the Caribbean side reached 54-1 off 13 overs. Evin Lewis and Shai Hope were not out on 40 and 6 respectively. Chris Gayle was the only wicket to fall as he departed for 4.

Kuldeep Yadav took 1-3 from his two overs. The second ODI bowls off on Sunday at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad. India won the T20 series 3-0.
