The Jamaica Scorpions bowlers were made to toil hard on Thursday’s opening day of their Cricket West Indies (CWI) regional 4-day match against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force with the hosts reaching 338-5 in their first innings at stumps at the Brian Lara Stadium. Jason Mohammed was 89 not out at the close for the Red Force who elected to bat. Earlier, Kyle Hope with 64 and Jeremy Solozano 63, put on 127 for the first wicket.
Nicholson Gordon has taken 4-49 for the Scorpions so far while Nkrumah Bonner has
taken 1-42. The Scorpions are searching for their fourth win of the season which would help them to leapfrog the red force from sixth to fifth in the table. Day two action bowls off at 9:00 am Jamaica time.
