Jamaican referee Karl Tyrell has been dropped from FIFA's list for the 2019 season. The local referring association through its head, Victor Stewart thanked Tyrell for his years of service at the FIFA level. The letter to Tyrell also highlighted that CONCACAF under the directives of FIFA, is down-sizing the number of FIFA match officials from the smaller nations.
Tyrell will however wear the CONCACAF badge which allows him to officiate in CONCACAF-organized tournaments or games. Meanwhile, FIFA has accepted the nominations of referees Oshane Nation, Daneon Parchment and Kevin Morrison. There has also been two additions to the FIFA assistant referees list in the form of Ojay Duhaney and Damion Williams.
Nicholas Anderson, Richard Washington, Melvin Reid and Jermaine Yee-Sing brings the number of FIFA assistant referees to six.
On the women's side, Odette Hamilton and Cardella Samuels have both been accepted as FIFA referees with three assistants also approved. Those three are Stephanie-Dale Yee-Sing, Princess Brown and Jassett Kerr.
