Reggae Boy Brown to rejoin MLS

Another Jamaican has been acquired by US Major League Soccer (MLS) DC United announced on Tuesday that they had obtained the services of Jamaican forward Deshorn Brown. United took advantage of their number one position in allocation ranking, acquired from the Houston Dynamo.

From 2013-2015, Brown scored 20 goals in 62 appearances for the Colorado Rapids after being selected with the sixth overall pick in the 2013 MLS Super Draft.

After transferring to Norwegian top tier side Valarenga, he scored 13 goals in 37 appearances and in 2016, the six-foot-two forward played for Shenzhen FC in China, where he scored seven goals in 14 matches.

The former St Elizabeth Technical player attended the University of Mobile in Alabama before transferring to the University of Southern Florida.

He has 14 caps for the Jamaican national team and made his international debut on October 11, 2013, against the United States.
