Reggae Boyz defender Michael Hector will be out of competitive action for the next 4 months after failing to secure a move before the transfer deadline last Thursday. The 27 year old spent last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and was named their player of the season. However, Wednesday failed to agree a deal with Chelsea after the Championship club couldn't match his £5 million valuation.
Hector was due to join Fulham instead but despite being at the club's training ground and about to complete his medical, the deal collapsed due to financial reasons. However, Fulham are expected to complete a deal for the Jamaican international at the start of the January window.
Hector has not played a single game for Chelsea after being signed in 2015 by former manager Jose Mourinho, spending his entire spell out on loan. His last competitive games were for Jamaica in their CONCACAF Gold Cup earlier this summer.
