Reggae Boyz clip USA in friendly international

Description of Shamar Nicholson's goal

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz secured their first ever win over the United States in a friendly international after clipping them 1-0 at the Audi Field in Washington DC on Wednesday. Shamar Nicholson came on as a second half sub in minute 55 and had an immediate impact as his goal came in the 59th minute. This was Nicholson's first goal for Jamaica at the senior level in his sixth appearance.

Leon Bailey did not make his much anticipated debut for Jamaica after picking up an injury in training. Bailey revealed this in an instagram post on Wednesday but noted that he should be fit and ready for Jamaica's next game which will be their CONCACAF Gold Cup clash against Honduras at the National Stadium on June 17. This was also Jamaica's third victory over the United States at the senior level after previously winning in 2012 and 2015.
