Reggae Boyz ready for Ecuador friendly

The Reggae Boyz will be looking to extend their six game unbeaten run in 2018 when they take on Ecuador at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey on Friday. This is the fourth time that both teams are meeting each other with Ecuador holding the head to head record with two wins and a draw against Jamaica.

The last time both teams met in 2011, Jamaica lost 5-2 to Ecuador. This game is being used in preparation for Jamaica's first game in the CONCACAF League of Nations which is on Sunday against the Cayman Islands.

Meanwhile, the Reggae Boyz have also secured two more friendly internationals in October. RJR Sports has learnt that the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) is making efforts to take both games to rural Jamaica. The first game has been confirmed for October 2 at the Montego Bay Sports Complex at Catherine Hall in St James. It's understood that the second game on October 5 could be held at the Drax Hall Complex in St Ann. The facility is presently being renovated and hopes are that it will be ready for a rare appearance by the Reggae Boyz in St Ann.
