Reggae Boyz to be outfitted by Umbro

When Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz take the field for their next international assignment, they will be donning playing gear bearing the logo of renowned international sports goods manufacturers Umbro which has signed a deal to become the official kit sponsor of the Jamaica Football Federation.

The new agreement, which begins in 2018 and runs for four years, will see Umbro acting as the official kit supplier to both the Jamaican men’s and women’s teams. Kits will be worn for the first time as the Jamaican team build up to their qualification campaign for the 2022 World Cup.

The agreement was negotiated and executed on behalf of Umbro by local rights holders for the Caribbean and Central American region, Fexpro Incorporated. Speaking about the new deal, Jamaica Football Federation President Michael Ricketts said:

‘I am very positive that this will be a mutually beneficial partnership; Umbro is a famous name in football around the world and we are looking forward to revealing the new kits to our fans. We are looking for positive things from our national teams and this will be an excellent start.”

Anthony Little, Umbro’s Managing Director, added: ‘We’re very pleased to have added the Jamaican national team to our roster of teams around the world. The team has a unique culture that fits perfectly with Umbro’s values, and combined with our unparalleled kit design and footballing insight, should make a fantastic partnership.” The new Umbro kits for the Jamaican men’s and women’s teams will be unveiled in 2018.
