The Reggae Girlz' all-time leading goal scorer Khadija "Bunny" Shaw signed a two year deal with French top flight club Bordeaux on Thursday. The 22 year old Shaw signed the contract with the club which will make her the first Jamaican female footballer to play professionally in France. The scouts of Bordeaux reached out for the services of Shaw after she scored 27 goals in 35 games for the University of Tennessee in the 2018/2019 season.
Bordeaux finished 4th in the Women's Ligue 1 for the 2018/19 season. Shaw has scored 31 goals in 22 games for Jamaica. Shaw will join Brazilian footballer Katheleen Sousa at the western France-based club.
