Months after their historic qualification to the FIFA World Cup, the national senior women's team continue to earn fresh sponsorship. The Jamaica Football Federaton on Thursday announced that the Jamaica National Group has signed on as a platinum sponsor. According to JFF president Michael Ricketts the four year partnership indicated corporate Jamaica's commitment to the sports industry and the development of local football talent.
RJR Sports understands that the dollar amount of the sponsorship is to be decided on by the parties. The Reggae Girls grabbed an automatic spot to next summer's showpiece event after finishing third in the CONCACAF Championships. The team is expected to have several camps and play practice matches during fifa international friendly windows leading up to next June.
Jamaica has been drawn in Group ‘C’ will face Australia, Brazil and Italy in preliminary round action. The FIFA Women's World Cup will be held in France between June 7 and July 7, 2019.
