Reggae Girlz one win away from historic World Cup berth

Jamaica's Reggae Girlz are one win away from qualification to the 2019 World Cup in France after humiliating Cuba 9-0 on Thursday. With the win the Jamaicans are into the semi finals of the CONCACAF Championships for the first time since 2006. The Reggae Girlz will face off with the USA in semi-final two of the CONCACAF Women's Championship  on Sunday at the Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

That game will kick off at 7:00 pm Jamaica time. A victory for the Reggae Girlz will seal a historic qualification to the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France. A loss would mean Jamaica would go to the third place playoff and take on the loser of the Canada versus Panama clash on Wednesday.

The winner there will qualify for the women's World Cup while the loser would take on Argentina in an intercontinental playoff in November. Jamaica will be looking to be the first Caribbean team to qualify for the FIFA Women's World Cup.
