Reno striker hoping to break into Reggae Boyz starting line-up

After knocking at the door for years, striker Craig Foster is hoping that this will be his time in the national senior set up but he knows he must first convince the coaching staff.

In 2011, Foster was the top junior striker in the country as he led the national Under-20 team to the final round of CONCACAF qualifiers with 8 goals from five games.

But despite scoring on a regular basis, including 22 goals in 2014 to top the goal scoring chart in the Premier League, Foster is yet to force his way into the senior national team. He was named in the 24-man successful Caribbean Cup squad but failed to play a single minute. Now he is hoping to strike the right chord with the current coaches.

He also knows that he must dislodge one of two players, Jourdaine Fletcher or Shamar Nicholson, the last two starting strikers, if he is to force his way into the starting line-up.

Foster has played professionally in Sweden, Finland and the United States before returning to Reno in January of this year.
