Round 2 of RSPL climaxes

The second round of the Red Stripe Premier League culminates this weekend and as teams head into the business end of the season and search for consistency, surprise package Dunbeholden travel to the Mona bowl to face strugglers UWI FC at 3:00 pm.

UWI have won only two games all season and are sitting in 11th position on 16 points, eight points off safety which sees them in prime position for demotion. Dunbeholden who are into their second season in the topflight, have surprised all this season to sit in fifth on 31 points but visit a team on Sunday which they have only beaten once in four meetings to date.

Dunbeholden's only victory came in the first meeting this season while UWI fans have yet to see a victory since the opening day thumping of Tivoli Gardens.

Meanwhile, Cavalier will be looking to rediscover some consistency after losing three of their last five games when they entertain the sliding Molynes United who are in tenth position. Following a stuttering start, former champions Tivoli Gardens are four points off a playoff spot and go into the lion's den at the Effortville Community Centre to play Humble Lion who are fourth. Humble Lion prevailed 2-1 in the first round meeting.

Elsewhere on the day, in the battle of the last two champions, Portmore United welcome Arnett Gardens at the Prison Oval and Vere United await Waterhouse at the Wembley Centre of Excellence.
