RSPL refs up in arms over Garel's comment

Referees in the Red Stripe Premier League are up in arms over a controversial comment by General Manager of the Premier League Clubs Association (PLCA) Patricia Garel.

The referees had threatened to with draw their services after Garel intimated that top-rated referees should be appointed for games where tensions are likely to run high.

Her comments on Hitz 92 FM’s The Girls Sports Club, followed the Waterhouse/Maverley Hughenden match on Sunday where referee Odette Hamilton issued four red cards.
