Rugby League team coach says more work needed

Head coach of Jamaica's Rugby League team Romeo Montieth believes much work needs to be done if they are to be competitive at the World Cup in 2021. Led by a full local based team, Jamaica defeated the United States for the first time on home soil after a 26-24 win at the University of the West Indies over the weekend.

While revealing they will be seeking more practice games against the top teams in the world,  Monteith says preparation will be key in their debut appearance at the tournament in two years’ time. Jamaica qualified for the 2021 World Cup after winning the Americas Rugby League Championship last November.
