Rugby Sevens teams begin WC qualification this weekend

Jamaica Rugby Sevens men’s and women’s teams will open their account in the Olympic Games Qualifiers in the Cayman Islands this weekend. The male crocs who are the defending champions of the Americas Championship, will play Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and the Cayman Islands in the group stages of the tournament on Saturday. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final will be played on Sunday..

The Lady Crocs will play St Lucia, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, the Bahamas and Bermuda in the group stages. The winner of the men’s qualifiers will book a spot in the Olympics while the 2nd and 3rd place teams will head into an Intercontinental playoff. In the women's section, the two finalists will head to the intercontinental playoffs.
