Sabina Park will host the second game in a two test series between the West Indies and India this summer. The world number eight ranked West Indies will begin their bid to become world test champions as the two test series will open the new ICC World Test Championship. The first test will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua between August 22 and 26 before coming to Jamaica for the second test from August 30 to September 3 at Sabina Park.
The last time Sabina Park hosted a test match was July 2018 when the Windies defeated Bangladesh by 166 runs inside three days. The five-week tour will include three Twenty20 and three One Day Internationals.
The new ICC World Test Championship will be played over the next two years with the ICC seeking to introduce and give greater context and competition in the "ultimate test" of the game, combining strategy, skill and endurance.
