Sandals South Coast relegated from RSPL

Sandals South Coast and Boys’ Town will now begin their plot on a way back to the nation’s top flight with both teams relegated from the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) following Sunday's matches. Sandals joined Boys’ Town in the departure lounge after Humble Lion hammered Cavalier 5-1.
 
Levaughn Williams in the 67th and 80th and Andrew Vanzie in the 77th and 90th minutes, got  double goals  for Humble Lion who moved to 36 points and one place up to 9th with the win. Interestingly, Waterhouse on 35 points and in 10th place, square off with Sandals in the Monday night fixture but cannot be surpassed on the table by their opponents. Sandals on 19 points, have five games to go.

Elsewhere, on the day, UWI FC moved one place up to 7th after beating leaders Portmore United 3-0 at the Mona Bowl. Andre Bernal, Anthony Greenland and Akeem Thenstead got the goals for UWI.

FC Reno also climbed one place up to 8th after turning back champions Arnett Gardens 2-0 at the Frome Sports Complex. Although suffering their third defeat of the season, Arnett stayed second on 47 points.

Visitors Montego Bay United clipped Tivoli Gardens 1-0 at the Edward Seaga Complex courtesy of Leslie St Fleur’s 64th minute strike. Harbour View continued the demise of Boys’ Town with a come from behind 2-1 win at the Barbican Sports Complex. The Waterhouse/Sandals South Coast match will be played at the Drewsland with live coverage on TVJ starting at 8:35 pm.
