The Jamaica Scorpions will be looking to start the new year on a positive note when the take on the Windward Islands Volcanoes in their second regional 4-day match at Sabina Park starting on Friday. The Scorpions had a disappointing end to 2018, losing by 46 runs to the Barbados Pride after being set 107 runs to win.
The contest will is expected to have its own challenges for the hosts, as it’s a day/night fixture. Captain of the Scorpions Paul Palmer Junior says assessing the conditions will be key for both teams. Interim coach Robert Haynes feels despite the difference in condition, the approach should be the same from the Scorpions.
