Scorpions dominate Jaguars on opening day of regional encounter

A 90 run 9th wicket partnership between Derval Green and Dennis Bulli took the Jamaica Scorpions to 320-8 at stumps on day one against the defending champions Guyana Jaguars in their regional four day encounter at the Providence Stadium. After being sent into bat, Green has top-scored so far for the Scoprions with 59 not out, his highest score in first class cricket while Bulli was on 30 not out at the close.

Brandon King has also contributed 51, Jermaine Blackwood 44, Kenroy Williams 33 and captain Paul Palmer Jnr 29. Sherfane Rutherford has so far taken 3-52 for the Jaguars. Day two action bowls off on Friday at 9:00 am Jamaica time.
