Scorpions earn draw with Pride at Sabina

The Jamaica Scorpions and the Barbados Pride settled for a draw in their third round Digicel regional 4-day match at Sabina Park on Monday.

The Pride who resumed the final day at 153-4 in reply to the Scorpions 224, posted 268 all out with Anthony Alleyne 66 and Shamar Brooks 44, getting most runs.

Debutante Fabian Allen claimed 3-34 while Reynard Leveridge, Damion Jacobs and Nikita Miller had two wickets apiece. Batting a second time, the Scorpions reached 112-2 when both teams decided to call off the game.

John Campbell 49 and Shacoya Thomas 43, were the leading scorers as the two shared in a 92 run opening stand.

Jomel Warrican accounted for both wickets, ending with 2-29. Scores in the game: Jamaica Scorpions - 224 & 112-2, Barbados Pride 268 all out.

The Scorpions will face the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at Sabina Park in round 4 starting December 8.
