Scorpions facing defeat against Volcanoes

The Jamaica Scorpions are facing defeat against the Windward Islands Volcanoes in their PCL  regional four day match at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in St Lucia. Set an improbable 378 to win, the Scorpions closed Saturday's third day were 132-3 with Brandon King on 56 and captain Paul Palmer Jr 32.

They still need another 246 runs for victory. John Campbell 14, Trevon Griffith 25 and Oraine Williams a duck, are the men back in the pavillion. Earlier, the Volcanoes resuming on 142-3, were dismissed for 283 with Devon ‘Shot Gun’ Smith scoring his second century of the match 154 against Damion Jacobs 4-51 and Christopher Lamont 3-61.

Scores in the match: The Volcanoes 226-9 declared and 283, the Scorpions 112-9 declared and 100-3.
