Scorpions fighting back against Volcanoes

The Jamaica Scorpions were responding strongly at 290-3 in their second innings at stumps after being asked to follow on on Saturday’s third day of their second round regional 4-day match against the Windward Islands Volcanoes at Sabina Park

They lead by 123 runs. Paul Palmer Junior 36 and Nkrumah Bonner 40, were batsmen at the crease at the close.
West Indies opener and skipper John Campbell has led the fightback with 101. Campbell also shared in a 155 run 2nd wicket stand with sidelined West Indies batsman Jermaine Blackwood who made 76. 

Earlier, the Scorpions were dismissed for 220 in their first innings reply after resuming on 203-7. Derval Green carried on to 62 from his overnight 50 while Jaime Merchant made 21. Preston McSwean took 3-41 and Sherman Lewis 3-62 for the Volcanoes who promptly asked the Scorpions to follow on after they were still left trailing by 167 runs.
