Scorpions hold advantage against Hurricanes

The Jamaica Scorpions inched ahead in their regional 4-day pro league match against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes reaching 183-7 in their 2nd innings at stumps on day two at Sabina Park. They lead by 209 runs. amion Jacobs 1 and Derval Green who is yet to score, were the not out batsmen at the close. 

West Indies representative Jermaine Blackwood has top-scored with 70 so far while John Campbell made 55. Fabian Allen also contributed 24. Sheeno berridge has taken 2 wickets so far. 

Earlier, Jacobs starred with the ball grabbing 7-74 to dismiss the Hurricanes for 171 runs in their first innings after resuming on 60-4. Captain Nikita Miller also took 3-32. Keacy Carty made 78 and Jahmar Hamilton 40.
       
In other regional matches, hosts Barbados Pride were struggling at 147-7  in their first innings reply at stumps on day two against champions Guyana Jaguars  in their top-of-the-table clash at Kensington Oval. They trail by 149 runs. Romario Shepherd has taken 4-21 so far. 

Kemar Roach was 15 not out while Shamarh Brooks has top-scored with 25. Earlier, Guyana Jaguars were dismissed for 297 runs in their first innings after resuming on 184-5. Raymon Reifer made 33. Chemar Holder took 5-57 and Roach 3-35. 

Elsewhere, the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force were battling at 51-4 in their innings reply at stumps on day 2 against the Windward Islands Volcanoes in St Georges, Grenada. Denesh Ramdin was 8 not out for the Red Force who trail by 312 runs. Delorn Johnson has taken 2 wickets so far. Earlier, the Volcanoes were dismissed for 366 in their first innings after resuming on 268-4. Kavem Hodge carried to 128 from his overnight 87 while Kyle Mayers made 74. Daniel St Clair took 6-62.
