Scorpions in danger of losing first innings points to Volcanoes

The Jamaica Scorpions are trailing the Windward Islands Volcanoes by 184 runs on first innings after reaching 203-7 at stumps on day 2 of their second round regional 4-day encounter at Sabina Park. The Volcanoes who resumed the day on 314-5, were eventually bowled out for 387. Derval Green and Patrick Harty took 3-73 and 3-65 respectively.

It took half centuries from Patrick Palmer Junior 54 and Derval Green with an undefeated 50 to rescue the Scorpions from 118-6 to 203-7.  Jamie Merchant weighed in with 21 against Josh Thomas 2-34 and Sherman Lewis 2-52. Green wants to push the scorpions as close to the visitors score as possible. The Scorpions are searching for their first win of the season.
