Scorpions in tense battle with Red Force

The Jamaica Scorpions have inched ahead in their regional Professional Cricket League 4-day match against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force, reaching 29-1 in their 2nd innings at stumps on Saturday’s third day at the Brian Lara Stadium. They lead by 80 runs.
          
Garth Garvey 17 and Asad Fuddadin who is yet to score, were at the crease at the close of play. Trevon Griffith is the man out for 10. Earlier, the Red Force posted 380-7 declared in their first innings reply to the Scorpions’ 431 after resuming on 133-4. 

Tion Webster carried on to 178 from his overnight 49 while Yannic Cariah made 127 after resuming on 52. The two shared in a 273 run 5th wicket partnership, having come  together with the Red Force 38-4 on Friday. Derval Green took 3-77 and Paul Harrison 2-60. Jason Dawes and Brandon King also took a wicket each. 

Scores in the match: Jamaica Scorpions 431 and 29-1, the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force 380-7 declared.
