Scorpions look to rebound against Hurricanes

Voice of Jamaica Scorpions captain Nikita Miller

After suffering a six wicket defeat at the hands of champions Guyana Jaguars last week, the Jamaica Scorpions will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they take on the Leeward Islands Hurricanes in their Digicel regional four day match at Sabina Park starting on Friday.

Captain Nikita miller says its critical the team double their efforts in order to capture the title. “From here on now it’s like a final; we have to double our efforts and close out games when we get that opportunity,” said Miller.

The Jamaica Scorpions are currently second on the PCL table with 73 points behind leaders Guyana Jaguars on 84.8 points while the Leeward Islands Hurricanes occupy 6th place with 44 points. The day night match will begin at 3:00 pm Jamaica time.
