Scorpions on the back-foot against Red Force

The Jamaica Scorpions have found themselves on the back-foot against the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at stumps on day 2 of their Cricket West Indies regional 4-day match at Sabina Park. The Red Force closed on 62-2 in their second innings, a lead of 153 runs with Darren Bravo 20 and night-watchman Khary Pierre on 2, the batsmen at the crease.

The Scorpions had earlier been dismissed for a paltry 112 with Chadwick Walton top-scoring with 35 and captain Paul Palmer Junior making 26 against 3 for 26 from Anderson Phillip. Daniel St Clair, Khary Pierre and Odean Smith took 2 wickets apiece.

Earlier, veteran spinner Nikita Miller bagged 5-62 to help dismiss the T&T Red Force for 203 in their first innings after they had resumed on 135-7. Miller was supported by Rovman Powell who ended with 3-40 and Oshane Thomas 2-30. Pierre top-scored with 35 for the Red Force.
