Scorpions score fourth straight win in Regional Super50

The Jamaica Scorpions have picked up their fourth straight win in the Regional Super 50 competition after defeating the Barbados Pride by 27 runs at the Conaree Sports Complex in St Kitts on Wednesday. Batting first, the Scorpions posted 331-9 off their 50 overs with Nkrumah Bonner top scoring with 112.

This was the 30 year old's fourth List “A century. Rovman Powell also chipped in with 96. Kyle Mayers, Chemar Holder, Roshon Primus and Shamar Springer all took two wickets each

In reply, the Pride were restricted to 305-8. Jonathan Carter top-scored with 97. Man of the Match Jamie Merchant led the way with the ball taking 4-35. Andre McCarthy also chipped in with 2-50. The win takes the Scorpions up to 16 points and four points behind leaders Barbados Pride.

The Scorpions will be searching for their fifth consecutive win as they face the CCC Marooners on Friday. The Scorpions will end the group stages on Sunday against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes.
