Scorpions struggling against the Hurricanes

The Leewards Islands Hurricanes have established an overall lead of 121 runs over the Jamaica Scorpions after Friday’s second day of their WICB Pro League match at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua. The Hurricanes were 124-3 in their second innings when stumps were drawn.

Montcin Hodge is unbeaten on 62 with Damion Jacobs and Devon Thomas each taking a wicket so far. Earlier, the Scorpions who resumed on 54-4 in reply to the Hurricanes' first innings 124, were bowled out for 158. Sheldon Cottrell led the way with 37.

Elsewhere, Andre Fletcher made a topscore of 84 in guiding the Windward Islands Volcanoes to 250 all out on the opening day of their game against Barbados pride who will begin their reply on Saturday.

Vishal Singh made an undefeated 88; Versammy Permaul 47 and Leon Johnson 23, as Guyana Jaguars reached 204-7 at stumps against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force.
