Scorpions tighten grip against Jaguars

The Jamaica Scorpions lead defending champions Guyana Jaguars by 155 runs at stumps on day two in the Cricket West Indies regional four day competition at the Providence Stadium. The Scorpions who resumed on 320-8, were bowled out for 358 with Derval Green top-scoring with 86. Veerasammy Permaul and Sherfane Rutherford took three wickets each.

The Jaguars reached 203-5 at the close of play with Vishaul Singh top-scoring with 61. Jerome Taylor, Derval Green, Rovman Powell, Dennis Bulli and Jermaine Blackwood took a wicket each. Christopher Barnwell and Raymon Reifer were at the crease at the close of play on 22 and 5 respectively. The Scorpions are searching for their third win in a row this season while the Jaguars are hoping to end their two game losing streak.
