Seeking My Dream to undergo surgery

Former two time horse of the year Seeking My Dream is set to undergo surgery within a matter of days to rectify a leg injury. 17-time champion trainer Wayne DaCosta who conditions Seeking My Dream, told RJR Sports on Tuesday that the 6 year old chestnut horse sustained a leg injury two weeks ago and will be out of action for the remainder of this year.

No specific date has been set for the surgery due to the inclement weather conditions earlier this week. However, it could take place later this week or sometime next week. Seeking My Dream who won the first two stagings of the ultra-rich Diamond Mile in 2015 and 2016, raced five times this year with his lone  victory coming in an Open Allowance contest over 7-and-a-half furlongs on May 5. He was a late scratch for the Chairman's Trophy on September 8.
